Lake Texoma Fishing Report – Summer Adventure Awaits with Captain Mike Fischer

Welcome to your latest update on Lake Texoma’s fishing conditions, prepared by Captain Mike Fischer of Bonefisc Stripper Guide Service and B&B. As the summer unfolds, the lake’s diverse fish populations are thriving, promising excellent adventures for all angling enthusiasts.

Striped Bass

Currently in great form, striped bass are biting eagerly on live shad in depths of 30-45 feet, especially around steep bank ledges and points. Early mornings and late evenings are yielding the best results.

Crappie

The crappie are active, particularly under docks and around submerged structures. Anglers using small jigs and minnows are finding success in shallow waters and creeks, with some spots offering rapid bites in 2-5 feet of water.

Catfish

For those targeting catfish, the action is steady. Using cut shad, fishers are finding fair to good results in 50-60 feet of water, particularly around the main lake river channels and near river inlets.

Hybrid Stripers and Bass

Both are showing good activity. Hybrid stripers are best targeted on flats in less than 15 feet of water, while bass anglers will find topwater lures effective in the early hours and soft plastics later in the day along bluffs.

Under Captain Mike’s seasoned guidance, guests are not only enjoying these bountiful catches but also learning the finer points of seasonal fishing strategies. Remember, every outing with Captain Mike is not just a trip, but a step towards mastering the art of fishing. Happy fishing!
